Nilusha Kariyawasam is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Physics at Illinois Tech. She earned her Ph.D in Chemistry from Kansas State University, working with Prof. Paul E. Smith. Her Ph.D research focused on molecular dynamics simulations of small molecules and proteins in solution, including contributions to the development of the Kirkwood-Buff derived force field. Nilusha’s research in the Wereszczynski lab focuses on clarifying the mechanism of complex biomolecules using computational techniques.’
